A couple of things I have noticed in UX design education is a) the frequency of these 10 heuristics on the curriculum and the difficulty of applying them to comtemporary mobile app design, and b) Students (and others!) very often mistake the 10 heuristics as 10 must-haves. Not so. If there is no help or documentation present then consider if they are nedded anyway and don't go mandating their inclusion in the next revision.
